Any good ER communities?

Hey there, guys and dolls!

Well, I've been scouring the internet, and thusfar I've only come up with one good, reliable Earthen Ring community (http://www.earthenring.net), but surely there are more out there? I've had no luck here on Livejournal, the only two I've found are:

LJ's Earthen Ring Community (earthen_ring) -- Last post was back on October 16, and didn't look all that active to begin with since posts were sometimes a month apart.

World of Warcraft Earthen Ring Roleplay (wow_er) -- Last post was back on June 15, but looked slightly more active in the earlier stages.

Are there any other ER Comms out there that I'm missing? Where are they all hiding?

The Alliance Herald
It is a newspaper that is run by enthusiasts of our server.

}}} The Alliance Herald {{{

Unfortunately, I have only discovered it today. It's a fun read, and people behind this get my respect by default, considering the amount of work that is done by them.

There was a guild meeting some time ago, it was held in the Twilight Grove in Duskwood. The report on the event was to be found in the first issue of the newspaper; and I was glad to have found myself on the photography in the newspaper.

Now, the photography itself is >> here <<.

Here's me stressed out.

And of course I took photos of the event myself; here they are.

Kazzak to Stormwind? Why not!
Luring a dragon all across the zone is not an easy task... it requires time and concentration.

Phantim from Bough Shadow (far east of Ashenvale) in Splintertree Post (Horde camp)...

People who in their thirties don't know shit about the connection between their level and the aggro range of a mob must be banned from the World of Warcraft.

In the end, I was announced to be a "great leader". Oh, the irony: the mobs in the Scarlet Monastery were on average ten levels lower than me. Of course, it was me who aggroed them, no shit!

Combat pets
Since hunters are not so leet with melee combat as warriors or, say, paladins, their pets become a vital part of their journeys.

As soon as I reached level 10 and was able to tame a beast to accompany me in my travels, I tamed a nightsaber and tried to make it become my pet. Unfortunately, the nightsaber abandoned me rather soon - because I had no meat to feed it - and it gave a me a psychological trauma: not for another 20 levels was I willing to tame a cat as my pet.

Instead, I went to Darkshore and when reached level 11 tamed a tallstrider - a bird somewhat similar to an ostrich, only cooler. I named it Corvin, and it was my loyal companion on many quests.

Until I reached level 20 and visited Wetlands and decided I needed a more aggressive pet. Thus, on level 21 I acquired a young crocolisk who was named Fluffy just for the fun of it. People, it seemed, enjoyed the contrast between Fluffy's appearance and Fluffy's name. :D

It has been even a more loyal friend to me, since I now learned how to control it better. But everything passes, and while travelling in Stranglethorn, I noticed a cat I was willing to tame. So Fluffy was stabled, and there appeared Mariachi, a tigress. She is not my best friend yet, but all I need is to find a butcher in Stormwind.

As one can notice, I change pets roughly every 10 levels, so that it isn't boring for me to travel. And by the way, I already know who is going to be my next pet. Let it be a surprise :P
